Local sources in Panjshir say that the Taliban, which recruited 481 young men from the province into their police ranks four months ago, have now dismissed 270 of them due to \u201clack of trust.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the sources, the Taliban have come to believe that simply being from Panjshir is a sign of proximity to the resistance front for their regime, which is why the expulsion process continues.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This lack of trust is not new; previously, a number of Panjshir residents who had served in government and security institutions during the republic were dismissed from their duties under the name of \u201ctangis.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to sources, the Taliban actually consider the presence of Panjshiris in the administrative and security structures as a threat to themselves, even if these individuals do not have any political activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is said that Haibatullah Akhundzada\u2019s order to recruit 481 Panjshiris youth to the police was issued with the aim of showing \u201cTaliban compassion\u201d;<\/strong><\/p>\n
