Unidentified gunmen kill two people in Faryab.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Local sources in Faryab province say that two people were killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in Khyber district.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident took place on Saturday in the Qarai neighborhood, where \u201cMaazullah Qushbai\u201d and his nephew \u201cShafiqullah\u201d were shot and killed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to sources, the perpetrators of the attack were individuals associated with the Taliban who took such action out of personal enmity. However, the Taliban has not yet reacted to the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Witnesses say that the two did not have any armed activities and were living normal lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Analysts, however, believe that such attacks are part of the Taliban\u2019s revenge campaign against former members and soldiers, a trend that has intensified in recent months and is mostly taking the form of \u201cunknown attacks\u201d or under the guise of local hostilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n
