The family of a former Afghan police soldier has said that his body has been found in Farah city after three months and twenty days of being missing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to them, he was taken from his home by unknown individuals with Taliban intelligence cards and the family had no information about his condition during this time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This incident is similar to numerous other cases in which, according to credible reports, the Taliban have detained individuals affiliated with the former government, especially military and security forces, but after a while, without prior notice, their bodies were handed over to their families.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some of these cases have been documented; according to a UNAMA report, several cases of \u201cenforced disappearances\u201d and arbitrary detentions of former government officials have been recorded.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Human rights activists describe this trend as a sign of blatant human rights violations, disregard for human dignity, and a lack of transparency in the Taliban government.<\/strong><\/p>\n
