Celebrating National Uzbek Language Day in Kabul.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A number of cultural figures, poets, writers and journalists celebrated the \u201cNational Uzbek Language Day\u201d in Kabul on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ceremony was held in the presence of the Uzbek ambassador to Afghanistan and a number of Taliban officials in one of the capital\u2019s halls.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this program, speakers emphasized the importance of preserving and developing the Uzbek language in the country and called on the ruling authorities to show \u201cserious and practical attention\u201d to the development and teaching of this language.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the sidelines of this conference, an exhibition of Uzbek cultural and artistic works was displayed, in which books, calligraphy panels, paintings, traditional clothes, hand-woven carpets and local cuisine were displayed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Uzbek Language Day was registered in the country\u2019s official calendar on 29 Mizan in 1399, based on an official decree of the then government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before the Taliban returned to power, this day was celebrated annually with official government ceremonies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Uzbek is one of the most important languages \u200b\u200bin Afghanistan, with the largest number of speakers living in the northern and northeastern provinces of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n
