Taliban-Pakistan talks continue in Turkey.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid says a delegation led by the deputy interior minister has gone to Turkey to continue talks with Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He wrote on his X-page on Friday evening, November 2, that the meeting will discuss the remaining issues between the two sides.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier, Pakistan had also announced that talks with the Taliban would be held in Istanbul on October 25.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a week of fighting, the Taliban and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire in Doha last Sunday with the mediation of Qatar and Turkey. In this agreement, the two sides said that they would respect each other’s borders and cooperate to establish peace on both sides of the border.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pakistan says that members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and other groups have safe havens in Afghanistan and attack Pakistan from there. The Taliban has rejected these claims and says that Afghan soil does not pose a threat to any country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Mujahid, a mechanism is to be established with the help of Qatar and Turkey to investigate the claims and implement the agreement.<\/strong><\/p>\n
