The Taliban Foreign Ministry says that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting minister, spoke by phone with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiar Saidov about expanding bilateral relations and cooperation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Foreign Ministry’s statement said that the call took place on Sunday, November 1, and the two sides discussed strengthening economic cooperation and the regional situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the conversation, Muttaqi emphasized diplomacy and mutual understanding, saying that the Taliban wants relations based on mutual respect and non-interference with neighboring countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Uzbek Foreign Minister also considered regional stability a shared responsibility of countries and said that his country supports economic cooperation and mutual trust between countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n
