UNICEF: Millions of Afghan children face severe malnutrition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) has warned that the nutrition crisis in Afghanistan is one of the worst in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

UNICEF announced on Wednesday, October 5, 2025, on the social network X that about 3.5 million children in the country are acutely malnourished and one million are severely underweight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the organization, recent droughts, reduced rainfall and severe economic difficulties have left millions of families in Afghanistan unable to access enough food.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This situation has put the lives of millions of children and families at serious risk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

UNICEF and other humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that without urgent and large-scale assistance, the risk of children dying from acute malnutrition and severe underweight is increasing.<\/strong><\/p>\n
