Sayed Anwar Sadat, the former governor of Faryab, has sharply criticized local authorities over the removal of the Uzbek language from the signboard of Jawzjan University.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a strongly worded statement, Sadat described those who proposed and insisted on the change as \u201cignorant and treacherous individuals,\u201d warning that if the signboard is not restored to its previous state soon, his return \u2014 or that of his political allies \u2014 could bring \u201cshameful consequences.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
