Mohammad Mohaqqiq, leader of the People\u2019s Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan, has described the removal of the Uzbek language from the signboard of Jawzjan University as \u201cignorant, discriminatory, and anti-national identity.\u201d He said this move reflects a pattern that, in his view, will eventually lead the Taliban to the same fate as other authoritarian regimes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He called the act a sign of the \u201cfinal breaths of the Taliban\u2019s medieval regime,\u201d stating that such behavior demonstrates open hostility toward the cultural identity of Afghanistan\u2019s ethnic groups. According to Mohaqqiq, the removal of the Uzbek signboard is evidence of the Taliban\u2019s anti-cultural policies against various communities.
