Local sources in Kandahar province report that Taliban members raided the home of a former Afghan military officer and subjected him to severe torture and beatings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to these sources, the incident occurred in Panjwayi district, and the victim has been identified as Mohammad Ismail, a former military commander during the Republican era. The incident was confirmed on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based on available information, Mohammad Ismail returned from Iran to his home about a month earlier under a so-called \u201cgeneral amnesty,\u201d reportedly guaranteed by a local Taliban member.<\/strong><\/p>\n
