Following the assassination of General Akramuddin Sarir and the controversial remarks by Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, in which he warned that the Taliban would be \u201cbrought to their knees and compelled\u201d if they refused dialogue, the Turkish government has significantly enhanced security measures for Marshal Dostum and Mohammad Mohaqiq.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sources familiar with the matter said the move was taken in response to growing concerns over security threats against Taliban opponents abroad and the possibility of targeted assassinations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These concerns have intensified amid reports of a secret unit within the Taliban\u2019s intelligence structure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0According to these sources, this unit is tasked with identifying, tracking, and assassinating Taliban opponents, including political figures, former military personnel, and critics, both inside and outside Afghanistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The unit reportedly operates covertly and maintains direct links with Taliban authorities in Kandahar.<\/strong><\/p>\n
