Revelation of China\u2013Taliban Agreement: Beijing to Fund Three Taliban Border Battalions in Badakhshan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bismillah Taban, a former Afghan military figure, has revealed that China and the Taliban have reached a full agreement on the establishment of three border battalions in Afghanistan\u2019s Badakhshan province.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to him, under the agreement, all costs including salaries, logistics, and the construction of facilities will be fully financed by China.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taban added that the Taliban have also requested Chinese support for the creation of a special unit tasked with protecting mining sites, to operate under the Ministry of Interior and the Directorate of Public Protection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said the establishment of Pamir district and the reintegration of former Taliban members are also part of the broader plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He warned that the large-scale concentration and movement of armed forces in Badakhshan could lead to increased insecurity, intensified competition over illegal mining, expansion of drug trafficking, and harsher repression of local residents.<\/strong><\/p>\n
