Taliban Claim Seizure of Seven Border Posts After Launching Offensive Against Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Taliban have claimed that in a rare offensive move, they have seized seven Pakistani border posts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zabihullah Mujahid announced that two checkpoints in Macheenaw, Dor Baba district of Nangarhar province; three checkpoints in Anargi, Goshta district; and two checkpoints in Dokalam, Nari district of Kunar province, were \u201ccaptured.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite these explicit claims, Islamabad has not yet issued an official response. Meanwhile, sources say the locations mentioned are situated inside Afghan territory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mujahid had earlier announced the launch of a \u201clarge-scale offensive operation\u201d against Pakistani military positions along the Durand Line.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He described it as a direct response to what he called Pakistan\u2019s \u201cmilitary aggression and defiance.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taliban-controlled media report that cross-border attacks are ongoing in Kunar and Nangarhar. The scope of the clashes is said to be expanding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These developments follow recent Pakistani airstrikes on areas in Paktika and Nangarhar provinces. Islamabad says the strikes targeted militant positions. The Taliban insist civilians were among the victims.<\/strong><\/p>\n
