Joe Kent, head of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center and a key figure close to Tulsi Gabbard, has resigned in protest against the Trump administration\u2019s war-driven policies toward the Islamic Republic of Iran.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He is the first senior official in Trump\u2019s administration to leave Washington with such sharp and unprecedented criticism. Kent emphasized that the Islamic Republic posed \u201cno imminent threat\u201d to the United States and that entering this war was the result of pressure from Israel and its powerful lobbying networks.<\/strong><\/p>\n
