\nFasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of Staff of the Taliban army, accused the Pakistani military of violating the ceasefire in border areas.<\/strong>
\nIn an Eid al-Fitr message, he stated that several civilians have been killed as a result of attacks by Pakistani forces in border areas.<\/strong>
\nHe described the continuation of these attacks, despite a ceasefire agreement, as a sign of Pakistan\u2019s \u201clack of commitment and deception,\u201d adding that the Taliban have so far refrained from retaliatory measures to prevent further escalation and have remained committed to the ceasefire.<\/strong>
\nHowever, he warned that if such attacks are repeated, the ceasefire will become meaningless and the Taliban will deliver a \u201ccrushing response.\u201d<\/strong>
\nThis comes as the Taliban and Pakistan, through the mediation of Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, reached a temporary ceasefire agreement on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.<\/strong>
\nIn contrast, the Pakistani military has conditioned any lasting dialogue on the handover of members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.<\/strong>
