Taliban Commander in Baharak Joins Fateh with Dozens of Fighters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sources say Sayed Mojtaba Wahdat, a local Taliban commander in Baharak District of Badakhshan, has left the Taliban ranks with dozens of armed fighters and joined the forces of Juma Khan Fateh.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sources close to him said on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (9 Saratan 1405) that Wahdat left his area of responsibility in Baharak and moved to areas controlled by Fateh in Darwaz.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The move is seen by sources as a sign of growing divisions among Taliban forces in Badakhshan and could strengthen Fateh\u2019s military position.<\/strong><\/p>\n
