A young girl in Maimana, the capital of Faryab province, has committed suicide due to family problems.
Local sources say that the girl decided to end her life due to differences between her family and her husband’s family. The incident took place in the “Tatarkhane” area of Maimana city.
It is said that the girl’s wedding date had been set earlier, but her father decided to cancel it due to some family differences.
According to sources, the delay in holding the wedding ceremony and the rumors and taunts from those around her after that put severe psychological pressure on the girl.
Available information indicates that this pressure ultimately led the girl to decide to commit suicide.
