Taliban Commander’s Internal Exposé; Khorasani Speaks on Internal Repression and Severe Ethnic Engineering.
In an unprecedented development, Hamid Khorasani, a Tajik-origin Taliban commander, has released a sharp statement accusing the group of “systematically deceiving the people” and implementing a “targeted ethnic elimination” project.
Addressing Afghan citizens, especially migrants, Khorasani warned that, in his view, the Taliban are using religious pretexts to conceal their ethnic-centered and monopolistic policies.
These remarks come amid unofficial reports of growing dissatisfaction within the group’s ranks. According to the claims, prior to the release of this message, Taliban-affiliated security agencies had detained, disarmed, and sidelined several of Khorasani’s close associates—an action some observers interpret as an attempt to control independent or critical figures within the group.
In his statement, Khorasani asserted that the Taliban are systematically eliminating non-aligned ethnic groups, languages, and factions to concentrate power within a narrow circle and monopolize the country’s political future. He also noted that he initially joined the Taliban aiming to establish an Islamic system grounded in justice but later concluded that the group’s practices diverged significantly from his understanding of Islamic principles.
These remarks coincide with earlier reports of public criticism of Khorasani’s actions in Panjshir and are now considered by analysts as signs of intensifying internal rifts and covert power struggles within the Taliban.
