Deadly Killing Inside District Governor’s Office in Badghis.
Local sources report that a deadly incident inside the district governor’s building in Ghoramach District of Badghis Province has triggered widespread violence.
According to sources, on Monday, June 22, 2026 (1 Saratan 1405), a man and his son allegedly killed two people following a dispute related to an opium deal.
The suspect reportedly fled to the Taliban-controlled district administration building after the incident. Relatives of the victims and angry residents then stormed the building and killed him inside the compound.
Sources say the district office was temporarily taken over by some residents following the incident.
Videos from the scene show a violent attack against the suspect. Taliban officials have not yet commented on the incident.
