
Cultural–Literary Gatherings in Taloqan and Kabul Honoring Navoi and Babur.
On the anniversary week of Ali-Shir Nava’i and Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur, separate cultural and literary programs were held in Takhar Province and Kabul.
In Taloqan, the capital of Takhar, an impressive cultural gathering was organized at the initiative of local youth activists. Cultural figures, poets, writers, and scholars from Takhar and Badakhshan attended the event.
Speakers emphasized the significant place of Navoi and Babur in regional history and literature, describing them as influential figures in the development of language, culture, and literary identity. They stressed that the works and ideas of these two prominent personalities constitute a valuable asset for today’s generation and require further study and promotion.
A major cultural ceremony was also held in Kabul with the participation of poets, writers, diplomats from neighboring countries, and culture-minded youth. Participants described Navoi and Babur as part of the shared cultural heritage of Afghanistan and the region, highlighting their role in literature, historiography, and civilization-building.
Organizers stated that the purpose of such gatherings is to preserve cultural heritage, strengthen regional cultural ties, and familiarize the younger generation with classical literary figures.
