Sources close to Fasihuddin Fitrat in Badakhshan say that concerns among Taliban leaders about the expansion of opposition influence in the province have increased significantly.
According to these sources, Qari Fasihuddin has ordered that all forces of the group, including those who had previously been removed from Taliban ranks, be recalled and deployed to border areas, including Tupkhana.
However, a number of sources emphasize that the internal situation of the Taliban in Badakhshan is highly tense.
Some of the returned forces, due to internal pressures, economic problems, and unfair treatment, have low morale, and concerns about rebellion or internal distrust have increased.
This situation has created a combination of security and economic crisis in northern Afghanistan.

All key positions and gold mines in Badakhshan have been placed under the control of Pashtun Taliban, which has seriously hurt the pride of Tajik Taliban members.
