Sources: Taliban Raid in Kandahar Allegedly Included Abuse of the Quran and Violence Against Achakzai Residents
Local sources in Kandahar Province claim Taliban forces raided Andarabad village in Daman District, where they allegedly damaged homes, mistreated residents, and desecrated copies of the Holy Quran, with some reportedly set on fire.
The sources also allege that the operation targeted members of the Achakzai tribe as an act of retaliation. They claim elderly women were forcibly removed from their homes and that extensive property damage occurred.
The Taliban have not responded to the allegations.
