
Commemoration of Three Prominent Figures of the Turkic World — Navoi, Babur, and Feraqi — in Istanbul, Turkey.
A grand gathering was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, to honor three distinguished figures of the Turkic world and classical literature: Ali-Shir Nava’i, Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur, and Magtymguly Pyragy.
The event brought together Navoi scholars, Babur researchers, and Feraqi specialists from various parts of the Turkic world, along with heads of cultural and social institutions and numerous admirers of these three figures.
Speakers highlighted their prominent literary and historical status, underscoring their role in shaping cultural identity, expanding language and literature, and promoting human values.
Ali-Shir Nava’i was recognized as one of the founders of Chagatai Turkic literature and remains an inspiration for contemporary writers. Babur was praised not only for his political and historical significance but also for his memoir writing and literary talent. Magtymguly Pyragy was described as a poet of ethics, spirituality, and social unity whose verses remain alive among the people.
Organizers emphasized that the thoughts and works of these figures continue to strengthen cultural dialogue, foster closer ties among nations, and preserve the region’s shared heritage.
