Deadly Taliban Shooting in Kabul;
Local sources in Kabul report that Taliban-affiliated individuals shot and killed a 55-year-old man and his daughter in the Ahmad Shah Baba area, District 12 of Kabul city.
The incident took place on Sunday, 14 February 2026. According to sources, the shooting was carried out directly and in full view of local residents.
Witnesses state that the victims’ bodies remained at the scene for a considerable period, while the perpetrators reportedly left the area without obstruction. The identities of the victims and the motive behind the shooting remain unclear. The Taliban have not commented on the incident, adding to existing ambiguities.
This event follows earlier reports of shootings and civilian killings in Kabul and other provinces. Some residents say the absence of transparent accountability and judicial follow-up has heightened concerns about public safety and increased distrust among citizens.
