According to a statement issued by the Taliban’s Directorate of Information and Culture on Monday, 15 February 2026, the incident occurred following the explosion of “mining materials” at a site known as “Kambak.” No additional details have been provided regarding the exact cause of the explosion or the extent of material damage.
