End of Ramadan Ceasefire; Beginning of a New Phase of Operations by the Afghanistan Freedom Front with a Different Approach.

The Afghanistan Freedom Front has announced that, following a one-month suspension of attacks during the holy month of Ramadan, it will now, on the eve of the Solar Hijri year 1405 (beginning March 20, 2026), launch a new phase of its operations with a “completely different, targeted, and more extensive” approach.

In its statement, the group emphasized that this shift is part of a strategic reassessment of its methods of struggle, and that new plans with significant differences compared to the past have been put on the agenda.

The statement further described the current situation in Afghanistan as concerning, pointing to widespread restrictions on cultural, social, and economic activities as major challenges.

The group also stressed that recent developments indicate an increasing complexity in Afghanistan’s internal and regional situation.

In its concluding remarks, the Afghanistan Freedom Front called on the public to maintain unity and solidarity in the new year and to support efforts toward a stable future.

It also underlined the importance of paying attention to regional developments and adopting effective approaches to reduce tensions and improve the country’s situation
